FAST Enterprises http://www.fastenterprises.com is sponsoring a $2000 scholarship for an AMS major (undergraduate) who is also a member of SWiM. FAST Enterprises is an industry leader in the development and installation of software for government agencies.  FAST is headquartered in Greenwood Village, Colorado and has provided corporate sponsorship for SWiM.  FAST is interested in young women with leadership skills and a possible interest in the CS industry.

 

The criteria for the scholarship are listed below and we would like to invite all eligible candidates to apply. 

 

All scholarship recipients must meet the following criteria:

 

1. Enrolled full-time, majoring in Applied Mathematics or Statistics.

2. Scholarship recipients are required to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and meet the satisfactory academic progress criteria as established by the Office of Financial Aid.

3. Preference shall be given to students who are active members of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) or active members of the Society of Women in Mathematics (SWiM).

4. The award shall be made as a one-year award.

Tips: If you have an interest in FAST Enterprises either for an internship or future employment then you should include that in your cover letter.  We have noticed that they like to support students who have shown some interest in their company.  Additionally, please highlight your activity in SWiM and/or how you have benefited from your participation in SWIM.

 

Note: The award will be made for the 2021 - 2022 academic year.  The recipient will be announced by the end of October.
