NCUWM: Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics

Every year, the University of Nebraska Mathematics Department puts on an EXCELLENT conference aimed at undergraduate women.  This is an wonderful opportunity to learn about careers in mathematics, interesting & new mathematics, undergraduate research in mathematics, and so much more (see https://www.math.unl.edu/~ncuwm/19thAnnual/). This year's conference runs January -25th - 27th (2019).

Registration for this year's conference is closed. Check back in Fall 2019 for details concerning next year's conference!

Registration for this conference opens on October 4th--and because of the popularity and success of this event, schools may send up to 4 participants.  Department Head Greg Fasshauer has promised to fund all participants.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Dr. Rebecca Swanson at swanson@mines.edu.  You must be at least a sophomore and priority will be given to those who would like to present a talk or poster at the conference. Preference will also be given to new attendees. This year, Dr. Carney and Dr. Tatangelo will be accompanying students. Make sure to contact me before September 23rd if you are interested in going.
